Jim Cochran, Virginia Stephens and Howard Stephens bring a diverse set of talents to the production of information and education programs on energy topics.  Jim is a veteran radio and TV writer, producer, and director. Virginia is a writer, editor and educator.  Howard is a scientist, inventor, and a developer and manager of energy R&D projects.

They kicked off their energy programming efforts through the non-profit organization Vision Trust, Inc. in 2000, with the production of Running on Empty: America’s Energy Crisis.  The four-part, two-hour radio documentary aired on over 100 public radio stations nationwide and in Canada.  Running on Empty received national acclaim, winning National Headliner, Cindy Gold and New Mexico Broadcasters Association Awards.

Following Running on Empty, Jim, Virginia and Howard produced audio and video energy programs that have won Cindy Silver and four Telly Bronze awards.
